More than 44 years making history in early childhood education

The “Menagar Early Childhood Education Center” was founded in 1981. Its style is based on the message of its founder, María del Carmen Menarguez De Frutos: “Let me grow slowly,” and it was authorized by the Ministry of Education and Culture to provide Early Childhood Education for children from 0 to 6 years old.

María del Carmen Menarguez, who with her love for children and joy every day, filled the school with fun and harmony. During her career dedicated to education she received numerous recognitions, such as the one she received from OMEP (World Organization for Early Childhood Education) on May 9, 1985. See recognition

It specifically recognized her great work in caring for students, highlighting her involvement in the teaching-learning process on an individual basis, as well as her close and professional treatment of the families at the center.

This is why, more than 44 years later, our school still breathes a warm atmosphere of respect and love for children. Vocation is the driving force behind each of the educational actions we carry out, permeating every routine, activity or game.

Since 1986, Maribel Correa Menarguez (daughter of the founder) has been dedicated to education as a kindergarten teacher and as a psycho-pedagogical counselor for the families of the center. In 2004, she began to take charge of the management of the center. For more than 38 years she has shown her dedication and professionalism, counting on the affection of those who were once her students and who now bring their children to the school.

Throughout these decades we have maintained a spirit of joy, kindness, respect and dedication, a message that is easily transferable to today’s society. We like to continue advocating for our own educational project, based on an education that respects the pace of each child. We educate in human values and work in an individualized way. We want our center to be an extension of the home for the child, in continuous cooperation with the family.

Menagar as an educational community

Since our beginnings we have established a relationship of commitment with the community, helping neighbors when necessary, collaborating with various centers.

The educational community is made up of five classrooms for the first cycle of Early Childhood Education and a multipurpose room. We have a quality educational team, as well as administration and service professionals who guarantee permanent attention to students and their families.

In our effort to educate and train our students as happy, responsible and respectful individuals, we have developed an innovative vision that is in line with today’s society. In this sense, we have developed our own innovative projects, highlighting our integration of information and communication tools in the classroom and in the daily life of our students, as well as, we have opted for a cutting-edge educational methodology. Always seeking to improve, as well as, educational excellence. We have incorporated new pedagogies to our project, highlighting the arts and environment project, and positioning ourselves in the comprehensive training of the student, we have developed yoga techniques, mindfulness, and smile meditation.

Our nursery school, respecting the message of our founder, continues to maintain as its essential mission, educating and caring for its students according to their educational and personal needs.

We are part of ACADE, the Association of Autonomous Private Education Centers, demonstrating our commitment to Excellence and Innovation from two fundamental areas for the advancement of a committed society:

We believe that the better we are as an educational centre and as a company, the better the society we build will be. Precisely for this reason, we understand that learning and sharing best practices with other organisations contributes decisively to obtaining higher results, and makes us protagonists of the progress and future that we want to build for our students.
For these reasons we continue to be part of ACADE and its Excellence and Innovation Club.
ACADE is an organisation with more than forty years of history in the defence of the rights and freedoms of private education not financed with public funds and the autonomy of private centres, promoting educational innovation in our country. During these years it has helped in Spain to consolidate the private education sector, to its recognition in educational laws and to the extraordinary social value of its teachings.

The Excellence and Innovation Club is ACADE’s body for the continuous improvement and constant learning of the associated educational centres and their directors, facilitating collaboration and providing a forum for sharing best practices.
ACADE currently has nearly 3,000 members from all private educational sectors, both formal and informal: Nursery Schools, Colleges, Vocational Training Centres, Universities, Postgraduate Centres, Language Academies, Dance and Music Schools, and Training for Employment. This multi-sector dimension allows its members to connect with other professionals from very diverse educational sectors, expand their network of contacts and give visibility to their project.
