Our school advocates the inclusion of chess in the classroom for the youngest children, since it has playful and intellectual characteristics, which make this activity an appropriate pedagogical resource to help girls and boys develop multiple mental skills that will undoubtedly optimize their learning processes, and will serve as a basis for their comprehensive training . Its purpose is not only to develop the art of thinking but also to cultivate values. Live chess in the classroom allows them to enjoy meaningful and constructive learning in a playful way.

As a novelty, in addition to including chess in our educational project, for this course we have proposed chess as an extracurricular activity. All learning will be carried out in a playful way, supported by stories and games, with specialized material for this activity. In this way, children internalize the rules and learn the figures.
